The Florida Council on Compulsive Gambling (FCCG), in partnership with the Miami Area Geriatric Education Center (MAGEC) and the United Way of Broward County Commission on Substance Abuse is proud to be hosting the FCCG’s 18th Annual Conference, Compulsive Gambling Awareness, Prevention & Treatment: Connecting the Dots. The conference showcases local, state, national and international experts on gambling addiction and related matters which offers Florida professionals with a unique opportunity to gain an in depth understanding of problem gambling impacts, treatment interventions and strategies, and insight to some of the latest innovations in the field.
The conference combines plenary and breakout sessions that provide meaningful guidance to treatment professionals, law enforcement and government authorities, not-for-profit service providers, educators, gaming operators, the recovering community, and others with an occasion to learn from an array of widely respected presenters on a series of topics, such as intervention strategies, comorbidity, therapeutic models and approaches, medical and neurological developments, relapse prevention, research trends, legislative policy, technology impacts, responsible gaming initiatives, and more.
