In addition, expert supports and guidance are provided to employee assistance practitioners, law enforcement authorities, educators, social workers and others who frequently encounter gamblers and are in search of information pertaining to treatment options, training or special services. HelpLine services are available in all languages.      Since the late 1980's, the Florida Council on Compulsive Gambling (FCCG) has operated the State of Florida's 24-hour toll-free HelpLine. There are no requirements for calling the HelpLine and every contact is free and confidential. HelpLine Specialists are expertly trained and understand how difficult it can be for some to seek help, but this is the FCCG's specialty.      All HelpLine calls are anonymous and confidential so that callers can feel safe in talking to the Specialist. The Specialist will gather information in order to appropriately assist callers given the situation.      Further, to aid with the gambling problem itself, the HelpLine Specialist can also offer information and assistance with immediate needs associated with the gambling problem such as temporary housing, legal and financial referrals, and many others.      Whether you are calling regarding your own gambling problem, the problem of a loved one, friend, or employee, we can help.
